The National Archives Received a Delegation from the Emirates Diplomatic Academy

A senior delegation consisting of visiting professors from the Emirates Diplomatic Academy visited the National Archives to become acquainted with the UAE’s history and heritage so they can reflect the UAE’s culture in their Academy’s curricula.

The National Archives welcomes such visits as they bridge cooperation between the NA and both local and foreign academic institutions. Institutions are interested in visiting the National Archives as it is a national entity that is concerned with historical research and the preservation of the nation’s memory and records, which document the bygone periods of the UAE. The Director of the Research and Knowledge Services Department explained at length that those who are involved in foreign politics should be aware of the historical aspects and of the ways that strengthen cooperation between the NA and the academy.

The visiting professors appreciated the NA’s interest in the Academy. The delegation later watched a 3-D film about the UAE’s past and present in the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Virtual Reality Theatre.

At the end of the visit, the NA provided the visitors with some of its publications that are specialized in the UAE’s history and heritage.
