The National Archives Organizes the Ramadan Weekly Contest Awards Ceremony

The National Archives held an awards ceremony for the Ramadan Weekly contest. The contest was about the national heritage and its role in enhancing national identity and motivating research, outreach and societal work that the NA encourages.

At the awards ceremony, the head of the Support Services Department, Mr. Hamad Al Hamiri said, “Through this educational activity, the National Archives hopes to encourage the employees to look for UAE history and heritage related information. It seeks to inform about the concepts and the vocabulary of the Emirati heritage as well as drawing attention to the vitality of preserving its tangible and intangible aspects as it represents the roots of the Emirati citizens. It urges research about important information related to the National Archives and highlights its role in preserving the memory of the nation for upcoming generations.”

The National Archives’ directors of departments and employees attended the draw and there were valuable prizes.
