The National Archives Holds a Ramadan Iftar

The National Archives, part of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, held the yearly Iftar for its employees to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan on Ramadan 11th, corresponding to July 9th, at the Emirates Palace Hotel. The National Archives is keen to organize the yearly Iftar in line with its desire to strengthen the employees’ bonds of amity, companionship and good relations.

On this occasion, HE Dr. Abdullah El Reyes, Director General of the National Archives, welcomed all the guests and expressed his happiness to have such gatherings where a pleasant and affectionate atmosphere is present. He added that such an occasion reflects the spirit of belonging to the National Archives and promotes friendly relations and social interaction between work colleagues. He noted that this gathering is in the best interest of work, especially since the National Archives’ employees are one family by virtue of their work. He wished all a blissful fasting and prayed that Allah bestows more well-being and prosperity upon the UAE rulers and their people every Ramadan.

This year, a large number of officials, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps attended the Ramadan Iftar. Distinguished guests included His Excellency Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police, U.S. Ambassador Michael Corbin and Portuguese Ambassador HE Jimmy Van Zeller Laitau, amongst others.
