The National Archives Celebrates Mother’s Day


The UAE’s National Archives celebrated Mother’s Day by congratulating all mothers and providing them and all female employees with gifts. The NA organized a lecture about a mother’s role in establishing and instilling loyalty and belonging to the nation.
The NA is interested celebrating this occasion due to a mother’s role in the community and to the importance of the family’s role in making good citizens who concern for their nation’s development. This is in addition to encouraging the women who dedicate themselves to serve their nation and raise generations that are able to create a bright future.
Mr. Saleh Al Shehhi, a researcher from the Educational Programs Section at the NA, delivered a lecture, on the mother’s role in enhancing national identity, loyalty, and belonging to mothers at Al Ebdaa Model School in Dubai. He discussed the family’s role in enhancing the national sense of identity and instilling values in children from an early age. He noted that instilling the value of patriotism in children is one of the mothers’ key responsibilities. This contributes to strengthening and enhancing the spirit of belonging and loyalty and plays a key role in the nation’s stability and solidarity. The lecturer encouraged mothers to enhance the national sense of identity in their children through letting their children memorize the national anthem, telling national stories, presenting the countless achievements of our wise leadership, and being proud of our nation’s symbols.
The NA held an event celebrating Mother’s Day for its female employees and congratulated all mothers. It stressed on the importance of a mother’s role in preparing generations capable for dedication to their nation and in instilling moral values. Mother’s Day carries meanings of sincerity, love, and thankfulness to mothers. The NA provided gifts to all female employees.
