The focual personality for this edition of Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was the Founder of the nation, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan; so on May 10th, the National Archives launched a book titled Fifty Years in Al Ain Oasis, which depicts bright pages in the UAE’s history. Moreover, there are several other books that document the history of the UAE and its great leaders such as: Zayed- Man Who Built A Nation and the Volumes of the Sheikhs’ Diaries (Yawmiat Al Shoyoukh) which are:

Besides its specialized publications, the National Archives displayed photos of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in its visual booth under the theme "Sheikh Zayed Light Illuminates the Future."

The National Archives is interested in participating annually in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair since it is a cultural event for intellectuals, readers, and researchers especially that the NA has been present ever since the inauguration of the Book Fair. At the 1st Annual Islamic Book Fair in 1981, the Founding Father visited the booth of Center for Documentation and Research (the National Archives’ former name) and reviewed its rare collection of manuscripts and documents. Through its annual participation, the NA aims to raise awareness of its social role, to educate the younger generation about the nation’s civilization and cultural heritage, and to promote national identity and a spirit of loyalty and belonging.

Additionally, at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition 2015, there was a special booth for the national campaign to document personal documents, called “Watheq”, where visitors could get the Watheq box that is designed to save official personal records.
