The National Archives Organizes An Exhibition Documenting the Emirati-Egyptian Relations

In the context of its community role, the National Archives in coordination with the Egyptian Ladies Association organized a historical Photo Exhibition for the Founding Leader Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The exhibition documented the fraternal and significant relations between the UAE and Egypt and the great role and efforts of Sheikh Zayed in strengthening the relations between the two sisterly countries.

The exhibition was a part of the celebration held by the Egyptian Ladies Association expressing their love and loyalty to Sheikh Zayed on Zayed Humanitarian Day. The Association held that ceremony on 19th Ramadan on the 11th anniversary of the death of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The exhibition organized by the National Archives contains historical photographs that document aspects of the Emirati-Egyptian relations and meetings of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan with the leaders and VIP from the Arab Republic of Egypt. A documentary film titled “Zayed the Giving .. Global Testimonials” was displayed on a large screen. The film presents the humanitarian works and projects carried out by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and contains voice testimonials given by countries’ leaders and governments’ presidents who were contemporary with Sheikh Zayed or who played roles in achieving the unlimited humanitarian works that have reached different areas in the world.

It is worth mentioning that through this exhibition, the National Archives provided a chance for the participants in the ceremony of the Egyptian Ladies Association to be acquainted with aspects of the significant historical relations between the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt and to be close to the Memory of the Nation which the National Archives strives to preserve in its archives.
