National Archives Organizes Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

In line with its social responsibilities of spreading awareness and its commitment to a sustainable healthy lifestyle for its employees, the National Archives of the United Arab Emirates organized a special day to raise awareness of breast cancer in order to raise awareness and learn how to detect it. The campaign was organized in collaboration with ProVita International Medical Center, Al Noor Hospitals, and the National Health Screening Program for Woman and Child in Abu Dhabi.

The campaign, which marks the International Day for Breast Cancer Awareness, included a lecture delivered by Dr. Khalid Mahmoud from ProVita International Medical Center. It defined breast cancer, prevalence rates, types of tumors, and risk factors associated with the disease and their role in infection, in addition to early detection, and the importance of periodic and early examination in the prevention of the disease and its complications. Thus, the lecturer sought to educate the participants and make them aware of periodic preventive examinations procedures.

On this occasion, Dr. Rabia Bintalib, gynecology and obstetrics specialist, and Dr. Sora Maher, health specialist, provided participants with information about early detection of breast cancer, and general tips for prevention, especially that it is one of the most common tumors in women.

The Doctors from Al Noor Hospitals provided the participants with general information about breast cancer, the causes of the disease, and preventive factors to control it. They also examined participants who requested it.
