The National Archives of the United Arab Emirates has finalized its preparations for the participation in 34th Sharjah International Book Fair, which will start on November 4, 2015. The NA’s participation will include a number of its specialized publications, the most important of them are the book of 50 Years in Al Ain Oasis, and the newly published book Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan the Ruler of Al Ain 1946-1966, the new edition of Zayed and Heritage and the volumes of the Sheikhs’ Diaries, which are:
Diary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Diary of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Diary of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Diary of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum
The volumes of the Sheikhs’ Diaries will be displayed on tablets. The National Archives’ pavilion will also allow its visitors to review the e-book section, which will show its latest publication Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Ruler of Al Ain 1946-1966. Furthermore, the National Archives will present some of its smart apps, the most important of them is the audio library of the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which contains hundreds of audio recordings that address various local, Arab, and global issues. Due to the importance of its content, the National Archives will avail its visitors the chance to download this smart app free. Other National Archives’ apps will be presented at the pavilion.
There will be screens in the National Archives’ pavilion showing documentaries about the march of the Union, and about the past and modern education in the United Arab Emirates. A distinctive documentary produced by the National Archives entitled “A Journey on the Path of Memory” will also be displayed. The pavilion will exhibit as well many historical photos, most notably the pictures of the Founding Fathers and the hoisting of the Union flag.
