The National Archives Concludes a Course Specialized in Document Management and Honors Participants


The National Archives of the UAE honored participants in the specialized training course in current and intermediate document management recently concluded.  A large number of employees from more than 20 UAE federal and local entities participated in the course. This course came in line with the National Archives continuous efforts of organizing and developing the archives of the government entities in the UAE.
Participants praised the course program, which included scientific themes that enhance the experiences of the archive staff in government entities and reinforce in them the knowledge of mechanisms followed in organizing scattered archives and managing current and intermediate documents in addition to the international standards in order to achieve best practices followed in management of conventional and electronic archives.
The participants highly appreciated the importance of specialized training session, which they joined. They all agreed that the National Archives plays an important role in safeguarding the memory of the nation and to upgrade the archivists and refine their professional expertise.
It is noteworthy that the National Archives has previously organized a number of informative seminars, workshops and courses, which 1,200 employees from more than 200 government entities attended. It also organized two training programs, each of them contained a number of training seminars. Both programs trained about 600 employees from more than 170 government entities.The National Archives utilizes its activities to emphasize the importance of preserving historical documents as a cultural and national value, and the need for cooperating with it to preserve them for posterity.
