Aiming at refining archivists’ experiences and upgrading their skills, in the course of its efforts to follow up government entities' archive management projects and aid them in applying international documentation and archiving standards, the UAE National Archives organizes a 3-day specialized training course in Current and intermediate document management at its Headquarters in Abu Dhabi from November 9th to 11th, 2015. Employees representing 22 UAE federal and local entities are expected to participate.
Through this specialized course, the National Archives aims to refine archivists’ experiences, upgrade their technical skills and train them to organize government entities' archives as per the UAE approved legislations, world standards and best practices for documentation and archives management.
The training course includes axis and themes enhancing the expertise of government entities’ archives employees in terms of mechanisms utilized in managing un-organized archives, methods of managing current and intermediate documents, and most important technical procedures followed in archives management, in addition to the electronic archive management mechanism.
The National Archives aspires to exert further efforts in this field; as It plans sophisticated and advanced programs targeting to improve professionals' performance in Government entities archives and enable them to keep up with the standard, technical or legal developments in the field of archives.
