The National Archives Participates in the Egyptian Embassy Celebrations of October Victory


The National Archives of the United Arab Emirates participated in the 42nd anniversary of October Victory celebrations held by the Egyptian Embassy with a photo gallery that reflects Egyptian-Emirati relations.
The gallery included historic photos selected from the National Archives’ collections recalling Arab solidarity embodied strongly between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt during the October war in 1973. The U.A.E. had a prominent role and Arab-supporting stances taken by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan resolutely and wisely as he provided Cairo and Damascus with Emirati aid convoys.
Regarding the participation of the National Archives in the Egyptian Embassy’s celebrations of October Victory, His Excellency Wael Gad, the Egyptian Ambassador, recently appointed to the U.A.E. said that the National Archives’ participation,  in the form of a historical documentary gallery, enriched the celebrations with the historical depth of good friendly relations between the U.A.E. and Egypt, which are exemplary in strength and consistency. They are presently even more thanks to the wise leaderships of both brotherly countries.
H.E. the Egyptian Ambassador thanked the National Archives for their swift responsiveness and praised its historical collections of pictures and records that document the past and present.
It is noteworthy that the documents that the National Archives displayed attracted the attention of all guests at the event. His Eminence Ali Al Hashemi, Religious and Judicial Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, commended the gallery and the historical photos it comprised.
