The Capital Police Directorate honors the National Archives 


The UAE’s National Archives participated with an exhibition of historical photographs and some of its specialized publications on the UAE’s history and heritage at the ceremony organized by the City Police Station under the auspices of the Capital Police Directorate in Abu Dhabi to honor its partners and distinguished staff. The National Archives was honored as one of the Police Directorate's distinctive partners.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Colonel Ahmed Saif Bin Zaiton Al Muhairi, Director of the Capital Police, accompanied by a number of the honored officers went on a tour of the National Archives’ Documentary Exhibition. He viewed the National Archives’ historical photographs and main publications, appreciated its role in collecting, preserving the memory of the nation and making it accessible to the public. The exhibited historical photographs document aspects of Abu Dhabi’s history and highlight various aspects of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan's life and some of the efforts exerted by the wise leadership, notably the efforts of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, to promote development in order to achieve for his people the prosperity the UAE currently witnessed.
The Director of the Capital Police highly appreciated the National Archives’ invaluable publications, which document key aspects of the history and heritage of the UAE and the Gulf region. The publications come along with the birth of the modern state after the establishment of the Union, they highlighted the efforts of the wise leadership and documented the march of the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in recognition of his great role in instilling authentic values in the nation’s sons.
It is worth mentioning that the National Archives displayed rare photographs of Abu Dhabi in 1974 and other photographs that documented the interest of Sheikh Zayed and the wise leadership in education. Moreover, it exhibited further photos showing the international stature the UAE leadership has achieved. 
The National Archives’ exhibited publications included a number of important books, notably: (Zayed, Man Who Built a Nation), (Zayed, From Challenges to Union), )Khalifa A Journey into the Future), (Emiratis All Our Yesterdays), (50 Years in Al Ain Oasis), (India and the UAE: In Celebration of a Legendary Friendship), (Hatchery Techniques of Marine Finfishes and Shrimps at Abu Al Abyad Island – Abu Dhabi), etc.
